This is Ron and I thought I would first thank everyone for all the expressions of love and desire to keep my sweetheart in thoughts and prayers. I know it works and I know our Father In Heaven hears and answers the prayers. As painful and difficult as this is, we have seen the hand of God manifest in little ways that make a big difference. Sincere thanks from both Sherrie and I. While she cannot respond, I believe she feels all the love that is pouring her way. I am sure the Lord is listening to a chorus of earthly angels who are praying for her safe keeping.

The last 36 hours have been surreal. It is hard for me to realize all that has happened in such a short time. In fact, I find myself reaching for my phone so I can tell Sherrie all that has occurred. I can't begin to express my feelings about this wonderful women who has been training me for over 30 decades.

I believe we receive a multitude of blessings every day. I, most days, pass them off as just another part of a non-descript day when in fact something special has just happened. Through all this pain, I have seen the tender mercies of the Lord exhibited daily. I would love to have Sherrie open her eyes and ask "what happened!!" and then be on our way back home, but that is not to be the case. I have seen her respond to priesthood blessings where she was blessed to be strong, stable and withstand difficult surgeries. I have seen the effect of many prayers for surgeons and clinicians who have been taking care of her. There level of sensitivity and concern has been heartwarming. They have been guided, directed and several have stated that they know she is a special person by seeing the strength of her children (they haven't seen the greatest strength that comes from our grandchildren, daughter in laws and son in law). For this, we now the know the Lord is present and in charge.

It is just after 2:30p on saturday. We just spoke to Dr. Alejandro Baez who has taken Mom on a his only patient. He is more positive today than yesterday. He is doing things to prevent potential problems that could occur that would not happen otherwise. As we listen to him speak, we have a sweet feeling of peace that Mom is in very good care. In this case, we see the best of science and faith coming through this good doctor. We know he is another of the blessings we have received.

They are just getting ready to take her down to radiology for another set of scans. She comes right past us. It's hard to see her lying in that bed not being able to respond. We talk to her whenever we can. We always pass along all your love and concerns. Right now her status remains critical. She responded well to the surgery. Bleeding is stopped. She has been stable for a while. She still has a high amount of swelling in the brain. A catheter has been inserted in the brain to measure the pressure and take away the fluids that will be excreted as the swelling goes down.

I personally thank you for all your love and concern. She is a remarkable lady. Please continue in prayer that the physicians will be guided and inspired, that she will have minimal neurological damage and she will be able to enjoy all the many days and nights with her children and grandchildren.

All my love to all
Ron

  2. We all love you, Ron. I'm confident that just as many prayers have gone out for you and your kids and grandkids as have gone out for Sherrie.

You eluded to the fact that the faith of all those praying for you and Sherrie have offered strength and comfort. It is the great faith and strength of you, your dear wife, and your children that comforts those that are anxious and mourning from a distance. Thank you for that. It is that same faith that leaves no doubt in my heart that Father will manifest His will.

    Love,

  10. Ron and kids,

The French family joins the growing crescendo of prayers for Sherrie, Ron, the family and those whose hands will interact with an earthly angel.

It is witness to me of the love that Sherrie has for those outside her family as her children emulate that love with their willingness to keep all up to date. "yea, they had been taught by their mom, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them." Thank you, Labrum children, for your selflessness in sharing at a time where selfishness would have been excused.

With love and years of admiration for the example of who Sherrie and Ron are,

    Jeff and Marcia

  19. Ron and family-
Just wanted to let you know that the Andersons are thinking of you and praying for all of you and especially for sweet Sherrie. You are such a loving family. We hope you feel the love of everyone who cares so much about you.
Sherrie, stay strong and keep fighting. I've been so excited about us being grandmas together. Hudson is amazing and I'm praying you and I can watch him grow up together. Todd is adorable with him and while he was here with Jess after Hudson was born he wouldn't let her lift a finger. He is so loving and attentive. You've raised a fabulous family.
Jessica and Hudson are doing great! I can't wait until we can all be together to celebrate his birth. The Andersons love the Labrums!
Take care of yourselves and let us help if there is anything at all we can do!

  26. Ron and family, how grateful we are to join today in prayer and fasting for Sherrie and each of you. You have been a wonderful example for so many. I was so happy to hear you're all together and sharing this time-it is of unmeasurable value. There is nothing a mother loves more than to know each of her children are drawn together in love and laughter with their hearts unified in faith. What a gift you are giving her now, share stories and laugh easily and quickly at the great memories and think forward to future memories you have yet to create. The laughter and love has no physical boundaries on this earth, family members on all sides of the veil, with friends are petitioning with you. You are not alone! She is my fondest memory at 'Sisters in the Snow', I don't know that we slept much but she kept us laughing all night long. Her joy and laughter are contagious, her spirit transends words and each of you are her heart. We love you all-
